Top 5 songs from british comedy series. Pointless list..

In no particular order...

1.  'Machadaynu' from the music 2000 episode of 'Look around you'.
No surprises here, as this episode contains the immortal word 'Thankovsky'. This was a close call between the three songs featured in this episode, about a 'future music' competition judged by the ghost of Tchaikovsky. (other contestants HERE and HERE) I strongly recommend you watch every episode of this program, especially if you love Peter Serafinowicz. And Joy. And happiness.

2. 'One Track Lover' form Garth Marenghi's dark Place.
This song is just everything that was good (terrible) about the eighties. It has it all, synths, guitar solo and a solid ice cold rap. Genuinely brilliant.

3. 'Dick Turpin' from Horrible Histories.
For people who love Adam and the Ants (ie, me) everything about this song is both hilarious and educational, a spoof that in some ways surpasses the original. never gets old. 'Horrible Histories' is a CBBC show that needs more recognition from adults, sometimes the humor may be blunt and childish, but it is still a thousand times cleverer that most sketch shows of recent times. especially the songs.

4. 'This is Outrageous' from Peep Show.
Just Jez. Just watch him and love him.

5. 'preacher man' from Nathan Barley.
Song starts about 1:50. rise of the idiots. preacher man cameo at Nathan's DJ set. Sums up too many people I have met on my film course, self obsessed pretentious media pricks. Anyway if you have not seen the series, it was written by Charlie Brooker from the early 2000's and is like a vision of hipsters from the past that came true.

Thats it for now, anyway feel free to send more suggestions as i put very little effort to thinking about these and probably missed out something obvious.
