The Avengers superbowl spot: watch it with your face.

Either Amazing or terrible. I am worried that there is too much going on, too many characters, we do not want another spiderman 3

Anyway enjoy the trailer!

Prometheus

The search for our beginning could lead to our end

Aside from the Hobbit, this is the film I am seriously looking forward too this summer. While not a direct prequel (the film is reported to have its own mythology and universe) Ridley Scott says it will be infused with the original 'Alien' film DNA, something that can be seen from the trailer, and something I am very exited about.

The story will be exploring the origins of 'the space jockey' the unknown alien creature that appeared in the first 'Alien' film briefly, as the pilot of the ship where the Alien eggs were found.

The crew of the Prometheus set out on a mission to find out more about the origin of mankind and find more than they bargained for in the deepest regions of the universe. Prometheus was the Titan who stole fire from the gods to give to mankind, a gift that accelerated the human race forever. This theme of acceleration in the films plot was inspired by Erich Von Daniken's writings about ancient astronauts: "Both NASA and the Vatican agree that it is almost mathematically impossible that we can be where we are today, without there being a little help along the way. That's what we're looking at: we are talking about gods and engineers, engineers of space. Were the Aliens designed as a form of biological warfare, or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?".
The film will be staring; Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Charlize Theron.

Plus H.R.Gieger has been brought in to reverse engineer the original Xenomorph, into a more primitive 'mother version' very exited to see that! Anyway the film is out June 2012, so I suggest you hibernate until then because nothing else is happening in your life.

Top 5 songs from british comedy series. Pointless list..

In no particular order...

1.  'Machadaynu' from the music 2000 episode of 'Look around you'.
No surprises here, as this episode contains the immortal word 'Thankovsky'. This was a close call between the three songs featured in this episode, about a 'future music' competition judged by the ghost of Tchaikovsky. (other contestants HERE and HERE) I strongly recommend you watch every episode of this program, especially if you love Peter Serafinowicz. And Joy. And happiness.

2. 'One Track Lover' form Garth Marenghi's dark Place.
This song is just everything that was good (terrible) about the eighties. It has it all, synths, guitar solo and a solid ice cold rap. Genuinely brilliant.

3. 'Dick Turpin' from Horrible Histories.
For people who love Adam and the Ants (ie, me) everything about this song is both hilarious and educational, a spoof that in some ways surpasses the original. never gets old. 'Horrible Histories' is a CBBC show that needs more recognition from adults, sometimes the humor may be blunt and childish, but it is still a thousand times cleverer that most sketch shows of recent times. especially the songs.

4. 'This is Outrageous' from Peep Show.
Just Jez. Just watch him and love him.

5. 'preacher man' from Nathan Barley.
Song starts about 1:50. rise of the idiots. preacher man cameo at Nathan's DJ set. Sums up too many people I have met on my film course, self obsessed pretentious media pricks. Anyway if you have not seen the series, it was written by Charlie Brooker from the early 2000's and is like a vision of hipsters from the past that came true.

Thats it for now, anyway feel free to send more suggestions as i put very little effort to thinking about these and probably missed out something obvious.

Like a Chris.

Sent by Chris  and also this

some practical zombie prevention advice from Chris and some upsetting finger based crime.

Currently watching loose women and losing the will to live, or rather the will for everyone else to live. it makes my brain physically ache listening to it, but the TV remote is on the other side of the room. Laziness triumphs over pain it would seem.
Next to me, my girlfriend is preparing an injection she needs to take for her illness and I can feel the darkness closing in...legs failing...sweat rising...
...back in the room.
I need some ideas for some new music to listen to, my taste is still stuck in the eighties pretty much.
I do realise this is just a fragmented ramble, and a not very interesting ramble.  I just have not decided on what to focus my blog on.
Also I have forgotten how to use the internet.

..Re-watching Arrested development. So should you.

Actually..

My last post made me want to listen to this. If you have never heard it before you should, nothing has and will sound like this again.

New Blog!

Hello everyone, my first ever post. I'm going to start off with something controversial. well kind of.

Happy memories, or shameless selling out?

I can't work out if i feel betrayed by this and Matthew Brodericks face just softens the blow, or whether my deep almost obsessive love for the film is re-ignited by any tiny crumb of a reference. Im finding it hard to form an opinion at the moment as i am being distracted by a repeat of 'The Crystal Maze' on Tv. In fact i started this Blog as a distraction from finding a real job; and now im being distracted from it. Wow This particular episode is a cyberpunks wet dream. There is a guy in it that belongs in sigue sigue sputnik. Anyway, feel free to send me your opinions so i can pass them off as my own.
